Patrick Thomas McNelis, 61, of Russel, Kansas died on Monday, March 7th, 2022, in his home in Russel.
Patrick was born May 21, 1960 in Duluth, MN to his parents, William and Philomena (Rameno) McNelis. He grew up in Duluth, MN and graduated from Duluth High in the class of 1978. After graduation, he served in the United States Air Force which he considered a civic duty and honor. He had 4 children, 3 daughters and a son: Nick, Stacie, Jennifer and Lainey. Although he was a shrewd businessman, the largest aspect of his identity was being a father. Nothing meant more to him than his children.
He married the love of his life, Michele Renee Pasek on August 1, 2009, in his hometown of Corcoran, MN. It was one of the happiest days of his life. He loved bird watching, grilling with loved ones, the outdoors and fishing. Above all else, he loved being surrounded by family.
Surviving family includes his wife, Michele, children Nick McNelis, Stacie McNelis, Jennifer Vazquez (Noe), Lainey Krayca, sisters Mary (Al) Quale, Margie McNelis, Linda (Kenny) Mankowski, brothers, Danny McNelis, James McNelis (Rebekka Fisher), Robert McNelis and 7 grandchildren, Adrian, Christian, Julian, Brooks, Sophia, Logan and Illia.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents and beautiful sister, Kitty Shuma.
We all lost and will miss a great and dearly loved man, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
