Mary Ann Wolan, 67, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, January 18,2023 at the Russell Regional Hospital in Russell.
Mary Ann was born May 15,1955 in Chicago, Illinois. She was the daughter of Walter Joseph and Frances Florence (Pakula) Wolan. She grew up in Calumet Park, Illinois and graduated from Mother of Sorrows high school in Blue Island Illinois. She then attended Fox College/Concordia University Secretarial School. Mary Ann was a Secretary for International Harvester and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics(NIAI). She also worked at and had many friends at The Coleman Company in Gardner, Kansas and at Walmart in Manhattan Kansas. She enjoyed going to Thrift stores, collecting antiques and other treasures, selling on eBay, traveling and camping, enjoying the dogs, playing guitar, and especially, reading and listening to the Bible and spending time with family.
Surviving family include her daughter, Crystal Brazzle (Matthew) of Bailey, Colorado; son, Sean Daniels of Texas; brother, Robert Wolan of Russell, Kansas; brother, John Wolan of Cicero Illinois; sister, Sharon Dote of Poplar Grove Illinois; foster-sister, Kim Sapolski;, fiancé and childhood sweetheart, Randy Weis of Russell Kansas, and four treasured grandchildren.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Walter Wolan; sisters Florence and Agnes, and foster-parents, Chester (Chet) and Ruth Sapolski. Mary Ann’s faith was strong, and she is now resting in the arms of Jesus. A memorial service was held at the Chapel of Hope in Russell.
