Viron Joseph Earl, 75, of WaKeeney, Kansas, and former Russell, Kansas, resident, died on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas.
Viron was born on June 05, 1948, in Grafton, Nebraska, the son of Lester Monroe and MeDora Elizabeth (Viney) Earl. He grew up in Grafton and attended local schools. He was the proud father of two children, a daughter Tanina and a son Tal. He lived in St. Francis, Kansas for over 30 years and moved to Russell, Kansas, in 2011. Because of health reasons, he moved to WaKeeney, Kansas, to live with his daughter the last couple of months. He enjoyed working as a farmer and rancher and loved nothing more than a couple cups of coffee in the morning and working outdoors. He also enjoyed playing cards, playing solitaire almost every day and loved playing rummy with his family. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren, niece and great niece and nephew.
He is survived by his daughter Tanina Cooper and husband Uriah of WaKeeney, Kansas, and son Tal Earl and wife Kayla of Laramie, Wyoming; 6 grandchildren MeDora Cooper, Leland Cooper, Rider Cooper, Ryan Randolph, Ethan Randolph and Jayden Earl; niece Diane Powers of Kansas; great nephew Thomas Powers and great niece Tallelisa Powers both of Oklahoma. A celebration of life service will be scheduled at a later date. Cremation has been selected by the family. Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell, Kansas is in charge of the arrangements.
