Brian D. Anschutz, 63, of Russell, Kansas, died on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at his home in Russell.
Brian was born on April 22, 1961, in Lindsborg, Kansas. He was the son of Leland Wayne and Rita Gaye (Atwood) Anschutz. He grew up in Russell and graduated from Russell High School in the class of 1979. He worked in the oilfield industry as a floorhand for Rapid Well Service and J&M Well Service. He enjoyed going fishing and being outdoors. He also loved hanging out with his friends and watching the Nascar Races on TV. He enjoyed going and watching the dirt track races at the RPM Speedway in Hays, KS.
He is survived by one brother Derrick Anschutz and wife Melodie of Russell, KS, 5 daughters and 1 son, and many grandchildren.
He was preceded by his parents.
Cremation has been selected by the family. A family and friends gathering will be from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. on Friday, September 27, 2024, at the Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary in Russell, Kansas. Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell, Kansas, is in charge of the funeral service arrangements.
