Judith (Letsch) Echer, 70, of Bunker Hill, Kansas, passed away Friday, January 24, 2020 at Main Street Manor in Russell, Kansas.
Judith was born July 20, 1949 in Russell. She was one of four daughters born to Don L. and Isabel (Duvall) Letsch. Judith grew up in Bunker Hill and graduated from Russell High School in the Class of ’67. She lived and worked in Wichita for twenty years before returning to the Bunker Hill community.
Judith was a U.S. Postal Carrier in Russell and Wichita. She carried a few years in Russell before moving to Wichita where she worked for the remainder of her 20 year employment at the Post Office. She was a life member of the Bunker Hill United Methodist Church. In her spare time, she loved spending as much time as she could with her two grandchildren.
Judith’s surviving family includes her son, Wade Echer and wife Camille of Trumbull, Connecticut; grandchildren Lena and Jack Echer, and two sisters, twin Sherrill Letsch of Wichita, Kansas and Donna Letsch of Bunker Hill, Kansas.
Judith was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Linda Letsch. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday January 31st, at the Bunker Hill United Methodist Church. A private burial of ashes will follow the services. The family has requested cremation, so no visitation will be held.
