Angela Christina Chavez, 42, of Hays, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas.
Angela was born November 17, 1980 in Buffalo, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Don and Grace Ann (Lynn) Foutch. She grew up in Buffalo, Shattuck, Follett Texas, and Laverne, Oklahoma and many others. She graduated from Laverne High School.
Angela was united in marriage to Jonathan “JB” Burris on June 16, 2020. They made their home in Hays where she was a homemaker. When living in Oklahoma she was a member of the Woodward Church of Christ. She enjoys riding horses and collecting unicorns and Yodas.
Angela’s surviving family include her husband Jonathan of the home; children, Sean Johnson of Laverne, Oklahoma, Gracie Johnson of Winters, Texas and Wyatt of Russell, Kansas; father, Don Foutch of Laverne, Oklahoma; brothers, Kenneth Foutch (Cindy) of Warr Acres, Oklahoma, Carl Foutch of O’Neill, Nebraska, Michael Foutch (Jane) of Santee, California and Quentin Foutch (Victoria) of Yukon, Oklahoma; sister, Jennifer Johnson (Cody) of Winters, Texas; and numerous cousins and friends.
Angela was preceded in death by her mother, grandparents, and one aunt.
A private burial of ashes will take place in Laverne, Oklahoma at a later date. Condolences may be sent to Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell, who is in charge of these arrangements.
