Ann Marie (Pieschl) Swander, 58, of Sylvan Grove, Kansas and formerly of Salina, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021.
Ann was born October 30, 1962 in Liberal, Kansas. She was the daughter of Michael and Jeanette (Dreiling) Pieschl. She grew up in Salina, Kansas and graduated from Sacred Heart High School. She then attended and obtained a degree from Wichita State University in Dental Hygiene.
Ann was united in marriage to Fred Lee Swander on September 13, 1986 in Salina. This union was blessed with two daughters; Jessica and Molly. They made their home in Salina for over 35 years before moving close to Wilson Lake, her happy place.
Ann was a Registered Dental Hygienist for Dr. Brian Schaulis in Salina for over 30 years. She enjoyed reading, Gumping (mowing), cooking and was a proud Master Angler. Her greatest joy was being able to play with her grandbabies.
Ann’s surviving family include her husband of 34 years, Fred of the home; daughters, Jessica Mader (Gabe) of Lenexa, Kansas and Molly Tormey (Chad) of Valley Center, Kansas; brother, Tony Pieschl (Pat) of Wichita, Kansas; sister, Susan Lynn Anthony of Virginia; three grandchildren, Norah Mader, Declan Mader and Reid Tormey.
Ann was preceded in death by her mother.
Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
