Brenda Jean Neal, 71, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at the Russell Regional Hospital ER.
Brenda was born November 17, 1953, in Bakersfield, California. She was the daughter of Octavia Neal. She grew up in Bakersfield until the age of 18 when she moved to El Reno, Oklahoma. She moved to Russell in 2005.
Brenda was a devoted homemaker for her children and grandchildren. Nothing was more important than her “Grandbabies”. She spent most of her time caring for her family and attending all their activities. She was a member of the 2nd Baptist Church.
Surviving family include her two daughters, Shalyn Law (Charles) of Russell, Kansas and Michelle Williams of Long Beach, California; son, Wayne Neal, Sr (Shanita) of Russell, Kansas; twenty-one grandchildren and a great grandson.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; sister, MaryAnn; and son-in-law, Dana Williams.
A Celebration of Life services will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Condolences may be sent to Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, who is in charge of these arrangements.
