Camilla K. Hardy

Camilla Kay Hardy passed away on December 14, 2024, at the Adler Center for Caring in Aldie, Virginia.

She was born on March 27, 1937, in Lucas, Kansas, the daughter of James and Anna Elizabeth (Stadola) Aksamit and was the youngest of eleven children.  She was loved and will be missed by her family and friends, but she has gone on to be with the love of her life, James Hardy, who preceded her in death. They shared 58 years together and after they were married, she lived most of her life in Alexandia, Virginia. She graduated from secretarial college and after getting married received her beautician license. She was known for her wit, being stylish, and being a grand host.

As a child, Camilla looked upon her time in Kansas fondly and wanted to come back home and be laid to rest among her family members in Lucas, Kansas.

A private burial will take place at the Lucas City Cemetery in Lucas, Kansas.  Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell, Kansas, is in charge of the funeral service arrangements.
