Clifton “Cliff” Paul Wiggins, 71, of Russell, Kansas, died on Monday, November 30, 2020, at his home in Russell, Kansas.
Cliff was born on May 21, 1949, in Winfield, Kansas, the son of Paul Floyd and Evelyn Irene (Swaney) Wiggins. He grew up in Pratt, Kansas, and graduated from Pratt High School. After high school he received an associate’s degree from Pratt Community College and also attended Ft. Hays State University. He moved to Russell, Kansas in 1974. He met, fell in love and was united in marriage to Jane Younger on September 18, 1976, in Hays, Kansas. From this union Cliff and Jane were blessed with 3 children Stacie, Ryan and Chase. He worked for 44 years as an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician with Plains Pipeline before retiring on December 30, 2017. He enjoyed boating, RVing, gambling, car shows, hunting and watching sports. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving family include his wife Jane of the home, daughter Stacie Wasinger of Victoria, Kansas; sons Ryan Wiggins and wife Nicole and Chase Wiggins all of Russell; sister Sherrie Heiman of Ft. Collins, Colorado and 5 grandchildren Aidyn, Gannon and Dillyn Wiggins, Sadie and Rhett Wasinger. He was preceded in death by his parents. A celebration of Cliff’s life will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, December 04, 2020, at the Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary in Russell, Kansas. Burial will follow at the Russell City Cemetery. Viewing will be from 9 A.M. to 8 P.M. Thursday, December 03, 2020, at the mortuary. Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell, Kansas, is in charge of the funeral service arrangements.
