Don E. Anschutz, 68, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at the Salina Regional Hospital in Salina, Kansas.
Don was born on January 18, 1951 to Harold W. and Helen E. (Bender) Anschutz in Russell. He attended school in Russell and graduated from Russell High School in 1969 and from Kansas State University in 1973.
Don married Marlene K. Knoll of Garden City, Kansas in Hays, Kansas, on July 12, 1975. Don and Marlene made their home on their farm north of Russell.
Don’s surviving family include his wife of 44 years, Marlene of the home; daughter, Susan Anschutz of Russell, Kansas; son, Andrew Anschutz (Kristin) of Kansas City, Missouri; two grandchildren, Owen Anschutz and Alma Anschutz; and two brothers, Wayne Anschutz of Hoover, Alabama and James Anschutz (Mary Ann) of Midland, Michigan.
Don was preceded in death by his parents and brother John Anschutz. Cremation has taken place and the family will be holding private services at a later date. The family requests no flowers or memorials. Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary is in charge of these arrangements.
