Glenn H. Weathers, 91, of Russell, Kansas, died on Sunday, September 05, 2021, at the Russell Regional Hospital in Russell, Kansas.
Glenn was born on August 13, 1930, Skiatook, Oklahoma, the son of Carl Glen and Marjorie (Dutton) Weathers. He grew up in the Skiatook area and graduated from Skiatook High School. After high school he served his country by joining the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Wilma Lee Boxberger on June 23, 1961, in Liberal, Kansas. He worked in the oil field industry as a mechanic and truck driver for Revell’s Oil Field Service. He also worked for Richard Polcyn farms. He enjoyed working on drag race cars for R.C. Williams.
Surviving family include is daughter Cheri L. Dunn of Peckham, Oklahoma; son Randy G. Weathers of Newkirk, Oklahoma and stepdaughter Susie young and husband Steven of Pratt, Kansas; brothers Lyle Weathers and wife Sandy of Skiatook, Oklahoma and sister Mary Kuntzsch and husband Bill of Russell, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Wilma; 2 sisters Betty Smith and Jackie Adams; brother Carl Weathers. A graveside service will be held at 4 P.M. on Friday, October 08, 2021, at the Bunker Hill Cemetery in Bunker Hill, Kansas. Cremation has been selected by the family. Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell, Kansas is in charge of the funeral service arrangements.
