Goldie Marie Lindsey, 48, of Russell, Kansas, died on Thursday, January 16, 2020, at the Russell Regional Hospital in Russell, Kansas.
Goldie was born on January 19, 1971, in Russell, Kansas, the daughter of Averill and Mary (Gooden) Dewey. She grew up in Natoma, Kansas, and graduated from Natoma High School and attended Ft. Hays State University in Hays, Kansas. She was united in marriage to Patrick Lindsey on November 1st, 1997. She at one time worked as a warranty specialist for National Electronic Warranty. She enjoyed making everyone smile and loved all things furry. Family was very important to her.
Surviving family include her fiancee Marvin Lake of Russell, Kansas, sisters Stella McNett and Angie Cook and husband Dennis all of Glenmora, Louisiana, sister Vickie Johnson of Kansas City, Missouri and brother B.J. Dewey of Minneapolis, Kansas, Aunt Sue Petty of Osborne, Kansas, and Uncle John Maupin of Dodge City, Kansas, 7 nephews and 4 nieces and 2 great-nephews and 1 great-niece. Survived by multiple friends and other family members.
Goldie had the heart of a giant and will be greatly missed by us all and touched so many lives and now she will be watching over us all.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Patrick. A memorial service to celebrate Goldie’s life will be held at a later date. Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell, Kansas, is in charge of the funeral service arrangements.
