Janet Sue McAdoo, 69, of Russell, Kansas, died on Friday, January 15, 2021, at the Wilson Rehabilitation and Care Center in Wilson, Kansas.
Janet was born on August 28, 1951, in Hays, Kansas, the daughter of Wilford E. and Henrietta (Eberle) Ross. She grew up in Hays and graduated from Marian High School in the class of 1970. She met, fell in love and was united in marriage to Stewart Edward McAdoo on May 26, 1971, in Hays, Kansas. From this union Janet and Stewart were blessed with three sons, Doug, Mike and Curt. She worked as a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She attended Bible Baptist Church in Russell, Kansas. She enjoyed babysitting, cooking, watching old television shows and visiting with her close friends. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family; she especially enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Janet is survived by her loving husband Stewart of the home, sons Doug McAdoo and wife April and Mike McAdoo and wife Kathy all of Russell, Kansas and Curt McAdoo and wife Vivian of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sister Sandy Galliardt and husband LeRoy of Hutchinson, Kansas; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date and cremation has been selected by the family. Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell, Kansas, is in charge of the funeral service arrangements.
