Joan Marie Mosher, 87, of Russell, Kansas, died on Thursday, October 01, 2020, at her home in Russell.
Joan was born on January 15, 1933, in Concordia, Kansas, the daughter of Clarence and Mabel (Demante) Starkey. She grew up in Clyde, Kansas, and graduated from Clyde High School. She met, fell in love and was united in marriage to Harold “Gene” Mosher on July 28, 1950, in Concordia, Kansas. From this union Joan and Gene were blessed with a daughter Margaret. Joan was a loving wife, mother and homemaker and took pride in working in her yard and flower garden.
She is survived by her loving husband, of 70 years, Gene of the home, her daughter Margaret Mosher of Salina, Kansas and a sister Betty Lyons of Topeka, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother. A private service will be held by the family and close friends and cremation has been selected by the family. Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell, Kansas, is in charge of the funeral service arrangements.
