Lawrence W. Ehrlich, 96, of Russell, Kansas, died on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at the Wheatland Nursing Home in Russell, Kansas. Lawrence was born on July 17, 1926, in Russell, Kansas, the son of Gotfred and Ida C. (Strecker) Ehrlich.  He grew up in Russell and attended Russell schools.  He joined the United States Army during the Korean war and was inducted in October 1944.  After serving his country, he met, fell in love and was united in marriage to Victoria B. Pastor Earl Jack Haggard, 69, of Cawker City, Kansas, and formerly of Russell, Kansas, entered into his eternal reward on  Thursday, April 13, 2023, at the University of Kansas Health System Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas. Joann Marie (Huss) Malone, 93, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2023 at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas. Joann was born December 21, 1929 on the family farm 5 miles west of Herndon, Kansas.  She was one of eight children born to John and Emma (Keplinger) Huss.  She attended over eight years in rural country schools.  She was a graduate of Herndon High School in the Class of ‘47. Dalton Lynn Frost, 30, passed away on Tuesday, March 21st, 2023 at his home in Gorham, KS. Dalton and his identical twin brother, Dakota, were born on September 16th, 1992, in Hays, KS to Gerald and Vickie Frost. His childhood and school years were spent spread between Salina, Russell, and Natoma, KS. His adult life was spent mainly in Colorado and Russell working in the fencing business and in several different areas in the oilfield. He was one of the hardest workers anyone ever knew. Dalton and his twin were daredevils from the start and lived life at full speed.

Wesley was born on July 01, 1945, in Langston, Oklahoma, the son of Wesley J. Marceline A. (Mitchell) Bender, 96, lifelong resident of Russell, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2023 at the Russell Regional Hospital in Russell. Marceline was born March 9, 1927 in Russell.  She was the daughter of Oscar R. and Margaret (Benso) Mitchell.  She grew up on the Mitchell homestead south of Russell.  She attended West Kennebec School and later graduated from Russell High School in 1944.  After high school, she briefly attended business school with her sister, Glenna.  She then worked for her Aunt Glennadine and husband Leo.
