Edward Carlyle Herman, 86, of Russell, Kansas, died on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at the Main Street Manor in Russell. Edward was born on March 29, 1935 in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Boyd and Elsie Merle (Bennett) Herman.  His family moved to Sylvan Grove, Kansas, where he grew up as a young boy and graduated from Sylvan Grove High School in the class of 1953.  After high school, he proudly served his country by joining the United States Marines.  After completing his military service, he came back home and met, fell in love and was united in marriage to

Earl L. Chesney, 71, of Natoma, Kansas, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 at the Redbud Village in Plainville, Kansas. Earl was born May 27, 1950 in Hays, Kansas. He was one of five sons born to Homer Bruce and Eileen (Meyers) Chesney.  He grew up in Natoma and graduated from Natoma High School. Earl served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  After his tour of duty, he returned to the Natoma area. Rod was born on October 18th, 1931, in Russell, Kansas, the son of Herman and Marcella (O’Grady) Deines.
