Betty Ione (DeVore) Laubhan, 95, of Russell, Kansas and formerly of Gage, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, June 7, 2021 at the Russell Regional Hospital. Betty was born January 29, 1926 in Russell County, Kansas.  She was the youngest of six children born to Verne and Eva Grace (Brown) DeVore.  She grew up and attended school in Gage Oklahoma and graduated from Gage High School. Betty was united in marriage to Fred George Laubhan, Jr. on May 2, 1948 in Canadian, Texas.  This union was blessed with two daughters; Deborah and Jane.  They made their home in Gage.  Fred preceded her

Susan Carolyn (Jeffus) Hill, 74, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas. Susan was born March 1, 1947 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  She was the daughter of Richard Fulton and Pepita(Otero) Park.  She grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico and graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1964.  Susan was a retired Wal Mart Personnel Manager.  She worked for them in New Mexico and Washington state.  She enjoyed doing Genealogy, knitting, crocheting and reading history and mystery novels. Infant Jentry Isabella Mai, of Russell, Kansas, was given to God on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Those Jentry leaves behind are her parents Matt and Erin Mai and sister Maeson T. Christie all of Russell, Kansas; paternal grandparents Gerald and Mary Mai from Russell, Kansas as well as many extended family.  She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Gary D. Christie. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, June 01, 2021, at the St. John Lutheran Church in Russell, Kansas.  Burial will follow at the St. John

Paxton Lewis Moreland, 28, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, Kansas. Paxton was born July 10, 1992 in Hays, Kansas.  He was the son of Dennis Moreland, Jr. and Kelli Geary. He grew up and attended schools in Russell and Benson, Minnesota.  He graduated from Benson High School in 2010. Paxton was united in marriage to Jennifer Ginther on August 13, 2016 in Russell, Kansas, where they made their home. Paxton was a hard worker, dedicated to those around him. His trades were welding and as an oil field worker.

Cathy (Cobb) Ruby, 69, of Bunker Hill, Kansas, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the Russell Regional Hospital in Russell. Cathy was born September 22, 1951 in Huntsville, Alabama.  She was one of eight children to David Ray and Lena Kathleen (Tate) Cobb.  She grew up in the Decatur, Alabama area and attended high school there.  She later attended Broward Community College in Florida and Burton Community College in Great Bend, Kansas.  She lived in the Bushton, Kansas area from 1977 to 1989. Cathy was united in marriage to Bruce E. Ruby on January 23, 1990 in Russell, Kansas. 

Warren Dale Bushnell, 77, of Wilson, Kansas, died on Friday, May 14, 2021, at the Ellsworth County Medical Center in Ellsworth, Kansas. Warren was born on November 09, 1943, in Smith Center, Kansas, the son of John W. and Lucy Emma (Westbrook) Bushnell. He grew up in Agra, Kansas, and graduated from Agra High School in 1962.
