Robert C. “Bob” McCobb, 73, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at his residence with his family by his side. Bob was born April 13, 1947 in Russell, Kansas.  He was one of three children born to Boyden and Doris M. (Marsh) McCobb.  He grew up in Russell and graduated from Russell High School in the Class of ’65.  Bob then served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.  After his tour of duty, Bob was stationed at Ft. Isabell Hainke, 98, of Russell, Kansas, died on Monday, August 10, 2020, at her home in Russell, Kansas. Isabell was born on October 13, 1921, in Durham, England to Richard and Isabell Danby.  She grew up in Durham and graduated high school.  After high school she joined the Royal Army Air Force in England during World War II.  While in the military, she met, fell in love and was united in marriage to Raymond G. Leo V. Friebus, 86, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2020 at Main Street Manor in Russell. Leo was born August 19, 1933 in Dorrance, Kansas.  He was the son of John C. and Lydia (Wallert) Friebus.  He grew up in Dorrance and graduated from Dorrance High School. Leo was united in marriage to Janice M. Charles (Charlie) Munsch was born April 10, 1945 in Hays Kansas to Carl and Emma (Reichert) Munsch, Antonio, KS.  He was the 11th of 12 children. Barbara was born December 8, 1924 in Trego County, Kansas.  The daughter of Dewey G., Sr. and Esther M. (Vincent) Whisler.  She grew up in WaKeeney, Kansas and graduated from Trego Community High School in the Class of 1942. Francis Dean “Frank” Mayers, 68, of Piedmont, Oklahoma passed on Friday, July 31, 2020, at his residence in Piedmont. Frank was born August 26, 1951 in Beloit, Kansas.  He was the son of Virgil Charles and Helen Ann Pahls (Blado) Mayers.  He grew up in Beloit, Great Bend, Kansas and Wichita, Kansas and graduated from South High School in Wichita. Frank served his country in the U.S. Navy for over eight years.  He proudly served on the U.S.S. Kathleen Anne (Kowalke) Foster, 52, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at her home in Russell. Kathleen was born October 6, 1967 in Colby, Kansas.  She was the daughter of Herman, Sr. and Margaret Anne (McGee) Kowalke.  She grew up in Densmore and Logan, Kansas, and graduated from Hill City High School.  She then attended Colby Community College and obtained an Associate’s Degree in Nursing. Kathleen was united in marriage to Kent Alan Foster on April 21, 2006 in Laughlin, Nevada.  They made their home in Russell. Kathleen was a Sales Clerk of Liquor Station in Russell.
