Kathleen Anne (Kowalke) Foster, 52, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at her home in Russell. Kathleen was born October 6, 1967 in Colby, Kansas.  She was the daughter of Herman, Sr. and Margaret Anne (McGee) Kowalke.  She grew up in Densmore and Logan, Kansas, and graduated from Hill City High School.  She then attended Colby Community College and obtained an Associate’s Degree in Nursing. Kathleen was united in marriage to Kent Alan Foster on April 21, 2006 in Laughlin, Nevada.  They made their home in Russell. Kathleen was a Sales Clerk of Liquor Station in Russell. 

Mary Lou (Keener) Morgenstern, 92, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Monday, July 13, 2020 at Main Street Manor in Russell. Mary Lou was born October 2, 1927 in Russell, Kansas.  She was the daughter of Nathan and Louise (Sander) Keener.  She grew up in Ellis County, Kansas a few years before moving to Russell with her family and attended schools there. Irmina Juliana (Oswald) Dauber, 82, of Bunker Hill, Kansas, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2020 at her home. Julie was born September 2, 1937 in Hays, Kansas. The daughter of Lloyd J. and Irma (Hoff) Oswald.Growing up she attended Blue Hill School in Ellis County, Kansas and graduated from Natoma High School. She then attended Ft. Allen Wayne Strecker, 71, of Russell, Kansas, died on Wednesday, July 01, 2020, at the Wheatland Nursing Center in Russell. Allen was born on April 28, 1949, in Russell, Kansas, the son of Chester and Lillian (Karst) Strecker.  He grew up in Russell and graduated from Russell High School in the class of 1967.  After high school he joined the United States Army during the Vietnam era and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan.  After serving his country, he returned to Russell and lived here most all his life.  He worked for the City of Russell Fire Department and loved helping

Clarence Edward Flores, 45, of Great Bend, Kansas, died on Monday, June 29, 2020, from a tragic accident at Wilson Lake in Lucas, Kansas.
