Theodore “Ted” Gepner, Jr, 92, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2020 at his home in Russell. Ted was born May 9, 1928 in Clay Center, Kansas, the son of Theodore, Sr. and Sara (Middleton) Gepner. He grew up and attended school in Clay Center. Ted was united in marriage to Helen Kurtenbach in July of 1952. This union was blessed with two daughters, Jody and Wava. Later in life, he was united in marriage to Carol Newman in February of 2011. Ted worked in the highway construction business for over 36 years as a heavy equipment operator.

Donald Lee Kilian, 89, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2020 at his home in Russell. Don was born April 16, 1931 in Russell.  He was one of five children born to Sam and Alma (Mai) Kilian.  He grew up in Russell and graduated from Russell High School with the class of 1949. Don was united in marriage to Mary Ann Weigel on January 13, 1950 in Newkirk, Oklahoma.  This union was blessed with six children; Sheila, Sam, Sonya, Don, Jr., Christopher and Dwight.  They made their home in Russell.  Mary preceded him in death in 2005. Glenda Rae Tiffin, 84, of Russell, Kansas, died on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at the Smoky Hill Health and Rehabilitation in Salina, Kansas. Glenda was born on January 14, 1936, in Blue Rapids, Kansas, the daughter of Harry and Mildred (Fletcher) Nance.  She grew up in Marysville, Kansas, and graduated from Marysville High School in 1954.  She met, fell in love and was united in marriage to Donald Glen Tiffin on September 01, 1979, in Lincoln, Kansas.  They made their home in Russell, Kansas, and lived in Russell for 34 years.  Donald preceded her in death on May 04, 2014. 

Mural Eileen Stubblefield Fisk , 93, of Russell, Kansas, died at Main Street Manor on Thursday, May 14, 2020. She was born August 11, 1926 at Dry Lake Keystone,  Oklahoma. Mural was the fifth of eight children born to James Oscar Stubblefield and Bessie Naomi Peck Stubblefield. Mural attended grade school at Keystone, Broken Arrow, and Sand Springs Oklahoma. She went to high school at Cleveland, Oklahoma graduating in 1944. After high school, she worked at Commander Mills in Sand Springs. Mural was united in marriage to Lee R. Jaide Therese Lawson, 18, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020 after a courageous battle against Cancer at the Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Jaide was born March 13, 2002 in Humble, Texas, the daughter of Amy Therese Lawson.  She is a graduate of Russell High School.  Jaide had a strong love for Art, Music and Gaming.  She attended Otterbein United Methodist Church of Russell. Jaide’s surviving family include her parents, Brenton and Amy Sievert of Russell, Kansas; three brothers, Aiden Dean Seivert, Otto James Sievert and Lelend Cash Sievert all of the home. Howard Roland Northcutt, 69, of Hays, Kansas and formerly of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away at his residence in Hays. Roland was born June 7, 1950 in Vincent, Alabama.  He was one of eight children born to Ras Howard and Ruthie Thelma (Abbott) Northcutt.  He grew up in Vincent and graduated from Vincent High School.  He then attended a Welding Trade School. Roland traveled around the country working as a Pipefitter and Welder most of his life.  He worked for S & R Steel in Harpersville, Alabama and Hondai also in Alabama.  While living in Hutchinson, he worked for Space Works

Marilyn Rhea (Somers) Barrett, 90, of Pratt, Kansas, and formerly of Paradise, Kansas, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2020 at the Pratt Health & Rehabilitation Center in Pratt. Marilyn was born August 25, 1929 in Altoona, Kansas.  She was one of five children born to Rhea Moore and Thelma Doris (Davis) Somers.  She grew up in Altoona, Paradise, Bird City, Kansas, Spring, Kansas and Ensign, Kansas.  She attended and graduated from Ft. Della Dean Post, 94, of Russell, Kansas, died on Friday, May 01, 2020, at the Wheatland Nursing Center in Russell, Kansas. Della was born on October 02, 1925, in Dorrance, Kansas, the daughter of Frank E., Sr. and Rachel Pearl (Warehime) Sanders.  She grew up in Dorrance and graduated from Dorrance High School in 1944.  She met, fell in love and was united in marriage to Dale R. Ann Elizabeth (Stoppel) Gilbreath, 90, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Main Street Manor in Russell. Ann was born January 12, 1930 on a farm south of Dorrance Kansas.  She was one of five children born to Alexander and Bertha (Galyardt) Stoppel.  The family then moved to Lucas Kansas where she attended school and graduated from Lucas High School. Shortly after graduating from High School, Ann moved to California where she went to school and lived in Southern California until 2015, when she moved back to Kansas to be near family. Viola Rosetta (Niedens) Dumler, 94, of Salina, Kansas and formerly of Russell, Kansas, went to her Heavenly home, Friday, April 17, 2020 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Salina. Viola was born March 3, 1926 in Hodgeman County, Kansas. She was one of six children born to John Henry and Bertha (Bitter) Niedens. She grew up in the Hodgeman Co. area and attended school there until moving to Barton County, Kansas as a teenager. Viola was united in marriage to Victor Leroy Dumler on December 8, 1946 in Milberger, Kansas. This union was blessed with three children; Donna, Wanda and Darrell.
