Theodore “Ted” Gepner

Theodore “Ted” Gepner, Jr, 92, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2020 at his home in Russell. Ted was born May 9, 1928 in Clay Center, Kansas, the son of Theodore, Sr. and Sara (Middleton) Gepner. He grew up and attended school in Clay Center. Ted was united in marriage to Helen Kurtenbach in July of 1952. This union was blessed with two daughters, Jody and Wava. Later in life, he was united in marriage to Carol Newman in February of 2011. Ted worked in the highway construction business for over 36 years as a heavy equipment operator.

Don was born April 16, 1931 in Russell.  He was one of five children born to Sam and Alma (Mai) Kilian.  He grew up in Russell and graduated from Russell High School with the class of 1949. Glenda Rae Tiffin, 84, of Russell, Kansas, died on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at the Smoky Hill Health and Rehabilitation in Salina, Kansas. Glenda was born on January 14, 1936, in Blue Rapids, Kansas, the daughter of Harry and Mildred (Fletcher) Nance.  She grew up in Marysville, Kansas, and graduated from Marysville High School in 1954.  She met, fell in love and was united in marriage to Donald Glen Tiffin on September 01, 1979, in Lincoln, Kansas.  They made their home in Russell, Kansas, and lived in Russell for 34 years.  Donald preceded her in death on May 04, 2014.
