Dale was born May 31, 1928 in Onida, South Dakota.  He was the son of John David and Mary Ann (Colby) Gustafson.  He grew up and attended schools in Onida; Polk, Nebraska; and Long Beach, California.  He graduated from Long Beach High School. Kathleen was born January 4, 1952 in Russell, the daughter of Clyde W. and Beulah (Cornwell) Rafferty.  She grew up in Russell and Osborne, Kansas and graduated from Russell High School in 1970.  Later she attended a Cosmetology School in Great Bend. Kathleen was united in marriage to Mark “Shorty” Dumler in June of 1970.  This union was blessed with a daughter, Tracial.  They made their home in Russell until they divorced in 1981.

Michael Warren Ridgley, 54, of Russell, passed away Monday, November 25, 2019 at the Hospice House of Hutchinson in Hutchinson, Kansas. Surviving family include his wife Lorrie of the home, two daughters, Alisha Livingston of Missouri and Carol Ridgley of Russell, Kansas; step daughter, Sommer Acheson of Russell, Kansas; father, Marvin Ridgley of Russell, Kansas; brother, James Ridgley, Sr. (Jolene) of Russell, Kansas; sister, Jill Jones (Dave) of Russell, Kansas; and 5 grandchildren. Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce. A Memorial Service celebrating Michael’s Life will be held at a later date. The family has chosen cremation.
