Cheryl Ann Voos, 73, of Russell, Kansas, died on Tuesday, April 09, 2019, at the Wheatland Nursing Center in Russell, Kansas. Cheryl was born on March 26, 1946, in Russell, Kansas, the daughter of Gail and Wilma (Barker) Campbell.  She grew up in Russell and graduated from Russell High School.  She met, fell in love and was united in marriage to Darrel Eugene Voos on April 18, 1964, in Russell, Kansas.  While her husband Darrel was in the Navy, it gave them the opportunity to travel across the nation, seeing and experiencing new and exciting destinations.  They eventually returned back

Roger George Schultze, 83, of Osborne, Kansas, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2019 at the Parkview Care Center in Osborne. Roger was born at home in the Kill Creek Community on January 20, 1936 to Reginald H. and Mildred A. (Bealby) Schultze.  His family later moved to the Covert area and he attended school in Covert and Natoma, graduating from Natoma High School in 1953.  It was there that he met and later married the love of his life, Levetta June Locke, on August 23, 1955, in Phillipsburg, Kansas. To this union were born three children, Kendall, Kim and Wade.

Walter C. Ehrlich, 90, of Great Bend, Kansas and former resident of Russell, Kansas, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2019, at St. John Hospital in Leavenworth, Kansas. Walter was born on September 3, 1928 in rural Russell County, Kansas, the son of Godfred and Regina (Boger) Ehrlich.  He grew up in Russell County and graduated from Russell High School in the class of 1947.  He was married to Isabelle Ehrlich, also from Russell, Kansas, from 1952 – 1982.  Walter and Isabelle had two children, Rosalee Robinson (Michael, DDS), Leavenworth, Kansas and Keith Ehrlich (Patty), Wichita, Kansas.  He had three

Melvin Andrew Flegler, 86, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at the Revask Center of Wichita, Kansas. Melvin was born September 20, 1932, in Hays, Kansas, one of three boys born to Elsie and Andrew Flegler.  He grew up on the family farm south of Russell and graduated from Russell High School. Melvin served his country in the U.S. Army- attached to U.S. Air Force SCARWAF Engineer Unit during the Korean War.  After his tour of duty, he returned to the family farm to help his father. Neva Lee (Hoskins) Dodson, 92, of Salina, Kansas, and formerly of Russell, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019 in the loving presence of family and the staff at Dignity Care Home of Salina, where she resided the past four and a half years. Elizabeth “Betty” Franken Anschutz, of Hoover, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2019. Herman J. Gerhardt, Sr., 83, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019, at Wheatland Nursing Center in Russell. Herman was born October 19, 1935 in Victoria, Kansas.  He was one of thirteen children born to Michael and Florence (Brungardt) Gerhardt.  He grew up on a farm near Victoria and graduated from Victoria High School. Edna Eileen (Logan) Straub, 74, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at her home with her family by her side. Eileen was born July 3, 1944 in Great Bend, Kansas.  She was one of three children born to Harold DeLos and Edna I. (Craig) Logan.  Eileen grew up and attended schools in Claflin, Kansas. LoRee G. (Popp) Dietz, 90, of Hays, Kansas and formerly of Russell, Kansas, passed Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Via Christi Village in Hays. LoRee was born March 24, 1928, in Barton County, Kansas, the daughter of William and Olinda (Schwartzkopf) Popp.  She was Baptized and Confirmed in the Reformed Lutheran Church.   She grew up in the Susank, Kansas area and graduated from Hoisington High School.  She then attended Ft. Hays State University and obtained a Teaching Degree.  She taught two years at North Star Dist #62 and two years at Rude School Dist. #91. LoRee was united in marriage
