Ferninand “Fred” Weigel, Jr., 94, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024 at the Russell Regional Hospital with his family by his side. Fred was born February 11, 1930 in Emmeram, Kansas.  He was one of four children born to Ferninand, Sr. and Lidwina (Sander) Weigel.  He grew up in Emmeram and graduated from Victoria High School.  He then attended Ft. Hays State University.  He taught in a country school for a few years. Terence Anthony “Terry” Foster, 70, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024 at the Russell Regional Hospital in Russell. Terry was born April 1, 1953, in San Diego, California.  He was the son of Orville Wayne and Margaret Rita (Murphy) Foster.  Terry grew up in Minneapolis, Kansas and graduated from Minneapolis High School in the Class of 1972.  During his high school years, he was a member of FFA, the chess club, and played intramural tennis, basketball, and softball.  He became an avid tennis player.  He may not have looked athletic, but he had skills and quick feet

Dennis Deon Donovan, 78, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024 at his residence. Dennis was born April 20, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri.  He was the son of Carl and LeNora (Shara) Donovan.  He grew up on a farm near Lewis, Kansas.  He was a 1963 graduate of Lewis High School.  He also was an Eagle Scout.  He then attended Ft. Jack was born on January 25, 1930 in Plainville Kansas and was the youngest of four children born to Charles and Anna Marston. Eunice Elizabeth (Schempp) Prediger, 91, of Russell, Kansas and formerly of Dorrance, Kansas, passed away Monday, February 5, 2024 at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas. Eunice was born June 14, 1932, in Brunsville, Iowa.  She was one of three children born to Rev. Andrew and Ida (Henne) Schempp.  In 1948 the family moved to Dorrance.
