Anita Kay (Perkins) Gerhardt, 62, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Friday, November 1, 2024 at her home.
Anita was born July 30, 1962, the daughter of Stanley and Jerilyn (Thompson) Perkins. She grew up in McPherson, Kansas and Newton, Kansas. She worked at DSNWK as a caretaker for many years.
Anita’s family include her daughters, Crystal McCracken (Daniel Prine) and Heather Larson; brother, Val Baughman; and 10 grandchildren.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Vernon Perkins; and son, Curtis McCracken.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 PM, Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at the Chapel Of Hope in Russell. Then a Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 PM, November 12, 2024 at the V.F.W. Post # 2715 in McPherson, Kansas. Cremation has taken place. Condolences may be sent to Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, who is in charge of these arrangements.
