Kyle Whitman (27), born on July 25, 1997, passed away unexpectedly in his home in Paradise, Kansas, on April 10, 2025. A beloved son, brother, and friend, Kyle grew up with a deep love for life and an unwavering devotion to his family and friends.
Kyle will be remembered for his quick wit, his gentle heart, and his ability to find beauty in everyday moments. He loved firearm sports, watching anime, and fishing trips to Custer State Park. Whether he was exploring the outdoors or simply sharing a laugh over coffee, Kyle uniquely made people feel seen, heard, and valued. His empathy ran deep, and his spirit was one of quiet strength and generosity. He left behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and kindness that touched the lives of all who knew him.
Kyle is preceded in death by his grandmother Brenda Urban, his grandparents Spud and Beth Whitman.
Kyle is survived by his mother and father, Kristi & Fred Whitman, his sister Holly Rhodes, his niece Ember Rhodes, his Grandfather Ed Urban, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and a community of friends who will carry his memory with them always.
His absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but his memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary in Russell, Kansas. Cremation has taken place and no visitation will be held. A Memorial has been established as the Kyle Whitman Memorial Fund. Contributions and condolences may be sent to Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, who is in charge of these arrangements.
