Lee ( Roy ) Fisk , 83, of Wichita , died at his home at the Lake Point Assisted Living Facility on November 27, 2008.

He was born August 9, 1925 in Belleville , Arkansas to Earl Ray and Viva ( Ferguson ) Fisk. The family moved numerous times as his dad was involved in the oilfield. He was raised in Oklahoma and Kansas

Lee graduated from Cleveland High School in Cleveland , Oklahoma in 1943. He joined the U.S. Navy in fall of 1943 and served in the South Pacific Theatre with the Sea Bees of the 33 ^rd Special construction Battalion until April 1946. Upon returning from the war he was united in marriage to Mural Stubblefield on April 27, 1946 in Bristow , Oklahoma . The union was blessed with 2 children Sharlet & Stephen. In 1949 he moved his family to Russell where Lee worked on a pulling unit as a floor hand. He later went to work for KD Emerick Tank Truck Service based out of Seminole, Oklahoma . Lee worked as district manager and took care of the Russell-Greensburg area. In February of 1965 he purchased the tank truck service and established Lee Fisk Tank Service. In 1971 he formed Fisk Oil Inc. where he served as President for the past 37 years. He was a life member of the Russell V.F.W. Lee served as Post Commander of the Russell V.F.W. in 1971-1972 and was All American Post Commander in 71-72 and also District Commander. He was a member of the Shrine, the Masons, Dorrance American Legion, Russell Elks Club, Board Member of the Russell &U.S.D. #407 and member of the Ketchum United Methodist Church of Ketchum, OK.

Lee’s surviving family include his wife of 62 years, Mural of Wichita, daughter Sharlet and husband Milton of Russell; daughter in-law Maxine Fisk of Wichita; grandchildren Kelly Ginther and wife Kimberly, Natalie Yarmer and husband Justin and Kyle Ginther all of Russell; along with Stephanie Fisk McCurdy and husband Braden of Wichita. Great Grandchildren Dalton & Danika Ginther, Mackenzie and Savanna Huff and Brittney Mayberry all of Russell also Kaegan Ginther of Hill City and Kylee Danae Ginther of Dorrance; a sister Elwa Robbins and brother in-law Lester Upshaw both of Sapulpa, OK; sister in-law Lena Mae Graves of Porum, OK, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends; brother in-law Derryl Jack Stubblefield of Cleveland, OK.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son Stephen, his mother, father, two brothers Glen and Harold Ray and one sister, Shirley Jean.

A celebration of Lee’s life will be held at 3 P.M. Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at the Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell. Burial will follow at the Russell City Cemetery . Visitation will be from 9 A.M. to 8 P.M. on Monday, December 1, 2008 at the Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary in Russell with the family present to greet visitors from 6 P.M. to 7 P.M. Memorials may be given to the Lee Fisk Scholarship Fund established with the Russell V.F.W. Post #6240 and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
