Lyle Odell (Scooter) Casper, 51, of Russell, died on Monday, January 10, 2011 at his brothers home. He was born on February 28, 1959 in Grants, New Mexico, the son of Lyle Lee and Opel Odell (Anthony) Casper.
Surviving family include his father Lyle L. Casper of Russell; son Dillon Hahn of Russell; sisters Deborah Clark and husband Gary of Russell and Valerie C. Vanloene of La Crosse, Kansas; brothers Jackie L. Casper of Gorham, Gary W. Casper and wife Bernice of Murray, Kentucky, Joel R. Casper and wife Michele of Russell, Dale A. and David B. Casper both of Russell and cousin Sandy Anthony of Gorham.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Cremation services were selected by the family. A gathering with the family to celebrate Lyles life will be held from 12 PM to 2 PM at the Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell. Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary is in charge of the memorial service arrangements..
