Mildred T. Charter

Mildred Theresa Charter, 88, of Russell, Kansas died on Friday, January 02, 2015, at the Ellsworth Medical Center in Ellsworth, Kansas.

Mildred was born on October 06, 1926, in Monroe, Michigan, the daughter of Charles and Mable (Jacobs) Pillette.  She grew up in the Monroe, Michigan, area and attended local schools there.  She was united in marriage to Raymond Lester Charter on November 11, 1944, in Dundee, Michigan.  From this union, Mildred and Raymond were blessed with two children Dolly and Raymond Charles.  She has only live a short time in Russell but she enjoyed the town and loved being closer to her daughter.  She ejoyed being a homemaker and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter Dolly Javens and husband Darrell of Russell; son Raymond Charles Charter and wife LeAnna of Lancaster, California; sisters Virginia Uhlick and Nova Trevino; 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 10 brothers and sisters.

The family will have a private inurnment of Mildred's remains will be perfomed at a later date.  There will be no services held in Russell.  Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell is in charge of the funeral service arrangements.
