William Lee Hammack was born in West Plains, Missouri July 17th, 1954 to Herb and Mable (Collins) Hammack. He died August 4th, 2021 at KU Med Center surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his wife, Alice; four children: Luke (Kerry), Joshua (Lacy), Shelley (Jason), and Rex (Sadee); nine grandchildren: Chase, Dalton, Dakota, Kassidy (Aaron), Caitlyn, Brianna, Keirstyn, Colt, and Owen; two great granddaughters: Everleigh and Kendyl. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday, August 9, 2021 at the mortuary with the family present to greet friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Memorial has been established with Wounded Warrior Project. Contributions and condolences may be sent to Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, who are in charge of these arrangements.
