Ula Faye Olsen, 77, of Russell, Kansas, died on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at the Russell Regional Hospital in Russell, Kansas.
Faye was born on October 03, 1943, in Russell, Kansas, the daughter of Howard Sears and Talma Ula (Landis) Keyes. She grew up in Russell and graduated from Russell High School in the class of 1961. She met, fell in love and was united in marriage to Robert John Olsen on June 01, 1961, in Russell. From this union Faye and Robert were blessed with 3 daughters Michelle, Mary and Molly. Faye worked fulltime as a wife, mother and homemaker and took pride in raising her family. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Russell. She enjoyed reading, playing mahjong, embroidery and baking. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters Michelle Harrison of Russell, Kansas, significant other Jeff Wegele and Molly Friebus and husband Drew of Russell, Kansas; son in-law Jay Keeler of Russell, Kansas; 3 grandchildren Olivia, Jordan and Kalena (Donnie) and 5 great grandchildren Roman, Dominick, Reed, Aniya and Collin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert on May 17, 2019; and her daughter Mary Keeler on June 27, 2018. A private graveside service will be held at the Fairport Cemetery in Fairport, Kansas. A public viewing will be held from 9 A.M. to 8 P.M. on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at the Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary in Russell, Kansas, who is in charge of the funeral service arrangements.
