Wade Ellsworth Winder, 64, of Paradise, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Russell Regional Hospital in Russell, Kansas.
Wade was born July 15, 1960 in Plainville, Kansas. He was one of four children born to Blaine E. and Lola Mae (Boyd) Winder. He grew up on a farm northeast of Natoma, Kansas, and graduated from Natoma High School in the Class of 79. He then attended NCK Vo-Tech of Beloit, Kansas for two years.
Wade served his country in the Army Reserves from 1979 to 1985 and served out of Hays, Kansas.
Wade was a welder with his father from 1980 to 1984. Then he went into electronics, working in Hays and Garden City, Kansas. In 2014, he retired to Paradise and helped local farmer. He had a great since of humor and enjoyed teasing family and friends. He enjoyed riding horseback and motorcycles and doing yard work.
Wade’s surviving family include his two sisters, Teresa Meyers (Rodney) of WaKeeney, Kansas and Stephanie Scheck (Kenneth) of Russell, Kansas; brother, Stephen Winder (Pam) of Waldo, Kansas; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and one great-great niece.
Wade was preceded in death by his parents and great niece Baby Girl.
A celebration of Wade’s life will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at the Paradise Grace Valley Church in Paradise. The family will be present to greet friends from 10 AM to service time.
